SaurierPfad Jena: A Digital Journey into the Past
SaurierPfad Jena is a free Android app developed by rooom that takes you on a digital journey through the Jenzig mountain in Jena. The app is designed as a natural history experience for the whole family, with 13 analog and digital stations featuring fascinating virtual and augmented reality elements. As a visitor, you can expect to encounter interesting information, interactive areas, and dinosaur replicas in both analog and digital forms.
One of the main features of the app is the ability to experience impressive 3D stations at specific points on the mountain. With augmented reality, you can project animated dinosaurs like the Chirotherium into your real environment, or immerse yourself in a 360° panorama of Jena's Ice Age during the Triassic period. The animated creatures and panoramas are accompanied by fantastic soundscapes, creating an impressive journey into the past and offering a unique perspective on Jena.
Please note that the app is intended for use exclusively on the mountain and cannot be used elsewhere. However, more stations will be added to the digital SaurierPfad in the near future, expanding the experience even further.
